ABOUT ME

I am Madalena from Lisbon, Portugal,  and I will never grow up! My passions are nature and wildlife, which I love documenting through illustration and photography.

I had the privilege of growing up in a household surrounded by art: paintings, installations, music, photography and filmmaking. With an artist family sometimes things can get a little crazy in a very interesting way. I had a darkroom in the attic, kitchen plates were used as palettes, cups as rinsing water containers for brushes, the living room as a studio, you get the picture. Ultimately I was drawn to science and studied biology but my childhood influences always stayed close to my heart and now I combine both.

I'll Never Grow Up is a personal project and i'm currently writing and illustrating a children's book.
